Dr. Yasmin Mahmood has 17 years of experience as a veterinarian in small animal medicine and surgery. In addition to in-hospital services, she has been doing small animal house calls in Southern New Jersey since 2016. She started her veterinary career in 2008 as a mobile equine and large animal veterinarian. After a year of large animal medicine, she changed gears to small animal medicine and surgery. Her special interests are internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, behavior, dermatology, senior pet care, myofascial pain and trigger point dry needling therapy.
In 2023, she opened her own mobile veterinary clinic. The custom-designed Ford Transit mobile clinic has an inviting home-like interior and boasts a spacious refrigerator to protect vaccines and medications, a microscope, a centrifuge, and point of care blood tests. With the mobile truck, the practice can offer a range of non- emergency services from puppy and kitten care, wellness examinations, consultations, and peaceful in-home euthanasia.
She resides in southern NJ on a small farm with her husband, two daughters, and several furry (and feathered ) friends. Her farm is home to several cats, dogs, goats, horses, chickens and two tropical fish tanks.
