The best way to reach us to set up an appointment is to call the office number at (856) 460-2529. If your pet has an immediate medical emergency please see our list of emergency hospitals.
We request that new clients send records (either directly from their previous veterinarian, or any records they may have) to us via email (meadowrunvet@gmail.com). This way we can better prepare for the appointment. It is best for us to get records at least 48 hours before the scheduled appointment so we have time to review and prepare for the appointment. We can also send an estimate for our services to new clients to review before we schedule the appointment.
Once scheduled, you will be given an appointment time window as it can be difficult to predict exactly how long the appointment before you will take. Ideally your pet should be easily accessible by you to bring to us for your appointment. There must be a person (ideally the owner) at home who can help bring the pet to us. We cannot catch or chase your pet for you as this can be dangerous for us and stressful for the pet. It is helpful to have cats in a small room or bathroom (or in a pet carrier) before the appointment. Many cats may be easy to catch with their familiar family, but can panic and get startled easily when strangers enter the house. If your pet needs a sedative before the appointment to help reduce anxiety, please let us know when scheduling your appointment. If there are special directions upon arrival (specific driveway or area to park the van) please let us know. If you need to reschedule your appointment we ask for notice at least 24 hrs before the appointment.
We are not equipped to handle feral cats. If your cat is feral or cannot be handled by people, a housecall appointment would not be the best option for their veterinary care.
We will text you when we are headed in your direction to give you a better idea of our arrival time on the day of the appointment. Sometimes we have to adjust arrival times based on appointment locations, and we appreciate your understanding and flexibility.
