Personal Life

Dr. Mahmood grew up in northwest New Jersey and has always been fascinated with animals. Some of her fondest memories as a child were with her best friend Meredith wading through muddy ponds searching for frogs, tadpoles and going fishing. In high school, she enjoyed Art Club and played field hockey.

In college she was captain of the polo team her senior year and also worked at the UMass Hadley Farm between classes. She went to veterinary school in Oklahoma and enjoyed being in the midwest. She then returned to New Jersey and has resided in southern New Jersey for 18 years on her small farm with her husband and two daughters. Her home and farm is home to horses, goats, chickens, cats, dogs and even a tropical fish tank.

About Dr. DeFulio

Dr. DeFulio was born and raised in Southern New Jersey. She is committed to providing comprehensive and compassionate care for pets, and particularly enjoys educating pet parents on optimal care and collaborating with fellow veterinarians to deliver well-rounded care for each patient.

From a young age, Dr. DeFulio had a deep love for animals and a desire to help people and their pets live their best lives. She is especially passionate about managing pain and arthritis in older pets to extend and enhance their quality of life.

Personal Life

When she's not working, Dr. DeFulio enjoys spending time with her two dogs, Bentley and Rosie, and her cat, Banks. She loves going to the beach, spending time with family and friends, reading and traveling.

About Dr. Rich

Dr. Rich is a Maryland native who attended Gettysburg College for her undergraduate studies before pursuing her veterinary education at Virginia Tech. There she met her husband, who is also a veterinarian and a South Jersey native.

After graduating, she practiced in West Virginia for a year and a half, providing low-income populations with mobile and in-hospital services for small and farm animals alike. After moving back to her husband's hometown in Cumberland County, she worked for HousePaws in Atco for 6 years, continuing to provide mobile services and standard hospital appointments and surgeries.

Dr. Rich is thrilled to be joining Meadow Run and to be serving her local community!

Personal Life

Dr. Rich and her husband live on a small farm in a 250-year old farmhouse that they are slowly updating and filling with animals and the noise of their three kids. She loves to cook different cuisines, and enjoys horseback riding, kayaking and taking walks in the woods with her family.

Shelly will be taking the course to become a "Cat Friendly Professional" as well as working to get Meadow Run Vet certified as a "Cat Friendly Practice."

Personal Life

Shelly lives with her husband as well as several cats, dogs and birds! She has had a deep love for animals ever since her parents got her her first pet, a bunny named "Thumper" when she was 5!

For over 20 years, Alisha has been a comforting and knowledgeable presence for the pets and people of our community. What started as a beginner job of cleaning cages and walking patients has grown into a lifelong passion for veterinary medicine. Alisha's dedication is driven by the belief that every animal deserves compassion, patience, and the highest quality of care.

Alisha has watched veterinary technology evolve and has remained committed to mastering new skills to provide the best possible care.

Personal Life

Alisha lives in South Jersey with her husband, two daughters, and 2 cats. Outside of the clinic, Alisha enjoys coaching her youngest daughter's softball team with her husband, taking road trips with her family in the Jeep with the top off, baking, sewing, and making various other crafts.

Ariana is just as comfortable helping in surgery as she is explaining to a pet owner why their dog decided they absolutely needed to eat that sock. She loves building relationships with clients, helping them feel confident caring for their pets, and making sure every patient gets the best care possible — from routine visits to post-op snuggles.

Her background in human healthcare at Penn Medicine taught her to stay calm under pressure and think quickly when it matters most — skills she brings to every patient interaction. Detail-oriented and always looking to learn more, because in this field, there's always something new (usually covered in fur).

About April

April grew up in Bridgeton, NJ with her family. After graduating from Delaware Valley University, she moved to Tennessee where she lived for 8 years, working in both small animal and emergency veterinary practices.

April recently moved back to New Jersey with her husband and daughter, bringing her valuable experience and passion for animal care back to her home state.

Personal Life

April shares her home with two dogs and one cat that she loves very much.
